Great hot chocolate recipe

I was reading this months Domino magazine and I found a great hot chocolate recipe that I made yesterday for our family Christmas. We served it in china cups (it's rich!) with a dollop of fresh whipped cream....soooooo good!

*6 oz good-quality bittersweet (70%) chocolate, such as Valrhona, Callebaut or Scharffen. (I used Ghirradelli 60% chocolate chips)
*3 tablespoons sugar
*pinch of salt
*3 cups milk
*Marshmallows or whipped cream

Break chocolate into pieces and place in a medium saucepan. Add 1 cup of water and cook over low heat, whisking, until the chocolate is melted. Whisk in sugar and salt. Gradually add in the milk, whisking, and bring to a simmer. Top with marshmallows or whipped cream.

Ceci, I bet you even make the whipped cream yourself (like you did with the summer pie). I think Ceci is short for Martha--just kidding. I'm turning into Ma Ingalls during the snowstorm by making my own bread, pie crust, cookies for decorating. But then for supper because I was all exhausted from the "from scratch", I made them chicken nuggets and fries! I'm sure Ma Ingalls as well as Soulemama wouldn't know what to think!
