This weekend my brother called and wondered if we wanted to get together and have the kids pick pumpkins at Gene the Pumkin Man's Patch. Remembering the nightmare of a family day we had last weekend, I hesitated. But, we packed up the minivan and headed to Kalamazoo. We had a riot! Maybe because it was somewhat spontaneous, maybe because almost the whole family was there and we watched the Tigers win in the ninth inning...Maybe because I just chilled and enjoyed it for what it was. And, I learned something. What exactly a "walk-off homerun" is!
