Seriously, you're talky couldn't have come at a better time. Our church series is about friendship right now and our pastor is always referencing "Facebook". I feel like the only person NOT on Facebook. My mother-in-law is on Facebook! Now I don't feel quite so uncool. Thanks Ceci! P.S. Mandy, I'm under the impression that people can view who you're talking to and when you're on Facebook. Is this true? I wouldn't want people thinking "she's a loser, she's been on Facebook 6 times today. Plus she's only got three friends and one's her mother in law!" Tell me, is this a possible scenerio? Thanks.
facebook is addicting,..but it's like Mandy said...at frist, when its a new thing. Then, you only kinda "check it" and see if you ahve any new messages etc... I have had people tell me too that I wasnt nice in high school...and they are suprised when tnhey meet asw an adult, that IM "nice" really made me feel guilty. I think that shyness comes off as snottiness! No one knows whose shy and who isnt...so if someone just doesnt speak to you...you think they surely must not like you! I have felt that way MANY times. Mandy...just a question, did you see that you were rejected by that person on facebook? you said you asked him 3 times to accept you. I had someone aske me to add them last night...that I dont like, and I said "ignore" and then really hoped they wouldnt actually get a message saying I ignored them. Did you get a note or something saying saying that person rejected you>?????
Ceci! You promised me you'd join facebook!! You promised!! I just want to connect with my sister in a deep and meaningful way... facebook!! ALL our other sistahs are on!!
Hey it's Mandy!! Just wanted to answer the "facebook questions" people were commenting on First to anonymous...here's the deal. Don't worry about being a facebook stalker =) People CAN see when you are on facebook but only when you are on at that momemnt...there isn't a log of where you have been and how long you have been on facebook...never fear =) And people can see your facebook friends but I PROMISE you that you will have more than 3 friends - I will be your friend - see!!! Now you have four... Now to Heather - here is the deal with the rejection. I did a classmate search and requested his friendship - no big deal...then about a month later I was doing another search to see if anyone new was on and I saw his name again. Now, I can't remember whether or not I requested friendship from him so I just did it again...THEN another few months down the road his name pops up along with others on the "people you may know feature" - Now I KNOW I requested his friendship and sure enough when you request friendship there is a status so it either says "friend" "waiting for friendship request to be approved" or "request friendship" - and I was no longer "waiting" which meant I had to request his friendship again because he rejected me and I am like - thanks for the dagger in the gut Josh!!! See there is no e-mail you get for rejecting friendship - it's not obvious but they know...it hurts just the same =)
Can we petition Gary to get him to change his mind about putting the two of you on the radio together? I think that would be great. I listen every morning on my way to work and you two have such great chemistry on the blog.
This blog is meant to be an extension of my show "Connect with Ceci" on 99.3, Mon-Fri 10:30-3:00. I appreciate comments and insights, so together we can connect...with God, our community and the world.
