Dont put that "Susan Cruz" goal in your head...pleeeeez! Just be YOU and what your body does...is ok! She isnt the norm....thats for sure!
Im glad your having a healthy pregnancy, Im sure you feel so grateful each day right!!! :)
I was about to stroke out when Mandy said her 7YEAR OLD is still in a toddler car seat! Is that even safe? I think theres weight limits isnt there? BUT then you redeemed yourself talking about the accident that you heard of, and that put a fear in you...then I completely understood! Those kinds of stories can really haunt you cant they! I do hope your 7 year old finds his way to a booster type soon though! haha
have a good weekend!

I should probably clarify something...I don't really have a goal of staying in my regular jeans until the end. That is a ridiculous goal--and not one I think anyone should try to achieve. We were just being silly. I am trying this time around to stay more fit throughout the pregnancy, and pilates has helped tremendously. My instructor at Lakeshore Pilates is a pre-natal pilates specialist, so it's all good.

I think there are many kids who are still in carseats at 7. We have smallish children and my 5 year old is still in his Britex. They are built for up to 45 pounds. At that rate he'll be in it for a while! You do look great Ceci. Give us a tummy shot sometime soon.

Oh...I didnt ever think you meant that you were going to try to stay in your jeans til the end of your pregnancy~ I was talking about wanting to be able to have the baby, and go home from the hospital in your "normal" jeans. That...was what I thought was crazy! I think you look really really fit! Im amazed that I cant see any weight gain on you yet at all! thats pretty impressive! :)
Im thinking I may have to try this whole pilates thing... I think your on to something! haha

My almost 7 year old is still in a 5 point harness carseat as well. It's the safest way for kids to ride. The Britax seats are the BEST seats and the one we have goes up to 65 pounds forward facing.

I have a minor stroke every time I see a child NOT in a carseat. It's a simple thing that could save your child's life. A bit of an inconvenience, yes, but the risk you take is hardly worth it.

KUDOS to you, Mandy! You are not alone! I think there are way more people than you know who have their older kids in 5 point harnesses. As people become more educated about how much safer it is, people are jumping on the wagon.

Ceci - 6 pounds is awesome! Keep it up (or not! It's okay to gain!!)

Mandy ~

Thank you for taking a stand on Breast Cancer and committing to the 3 day walk. What a blessing. Best to you, your team and all who are making a difference in the fight against this beast. My sister is a survivor. It is a very empowering experience to be a part of the fight against Breast Cancer and I personally thank you for bringing awareness to the blog. How can we donate to your efforts? ~ J

Blast from the past!

Ceci-

We were driving through Grand Haven today and turned the radio and lo and behold, we heard your familiar voice. Sounds like all is well...glad to hear it.

ps-I accidentally put this already once on a June post not looking at the dates as I read through the blog a bit. Sorry if you saw it twice.
