Happy Earth Day

On the show today, we talk about easy and fun ways to "go green." Oddly enough, a phrase that I feel is getting overused. But, my family is starting to make small changes here and there and I thought I'd link to some articles I found useful for today's show.

10 FOODS WORTH BUYING ORGANIC.

FIVE WAYS FOR YOUR KIDS TO BE ECO-FRIENDLY.

WESTSHORE MALL IS OFFERING FREE RECYCLING TODAY.

SAN FRANCISCO FIRST CITY TO BAN PLASTIC BAGS!

6 NATURAL CLEANING SUPPLIES FOR A GREEN HOME

TRENDY RE-USABLE WATER BOTTLES (I have the CamelBak one in hot pink!),

There are a million other articles, but these are the ones I used today. If you have any great "green" advice, or would like to link to an article you found helpful, do so in the comment section. Also, I'm interested in knowing what small changes you have made in regards to the environment.

Let's Connect!

I would LOVE to go organic and get our family on track with all the foods and cleaning products, etc, etc. It seems so hard but I know that if Kate from Jon & Kate + 8 can do it I can right??!! CRAZY!! Thanks for this....and congrats on being a new Aunt! How beautiful she is! Babies are great, it makes me want one all over again! Okay, maybe not :) I will just enjoy others :)

Thanks again for all the organic ideas...

love the idea of going organic...because it's healthy...but not so much into going all "AL GOre" yet. I dont respect him...and think he's kind of full of it.
BUT...target has really cute red bags that you can buy for 99 cents...and re-use every time you get groceries. thats a great way to start helping, it always made me cringe a bit to use all those plastic bags!
also the light bulbs are a great thing! new light bulbs (the curly Q kind) stay cool to the touch as long as theyre on...and they each are only about $4.00. they last for like 10 years though! Im sold on those for sure!!! Have a happy Wed. girls! Im off to the farmers market in Holland...hope its open???
