Hey there ladies,
Good talky today. You both brought up some really good points.

The lady on Focus on the Family is Jill Savage. She founded Hearts-At-Home http://www.hearts-at-home.org/ I think her main goal is to give stay at home moms encouragement. Being a mom is a pretty thankless job most days (unless you see those Tyson commercials...). They have conferences that are really good. Some have been in GR.

Dr. Laura is way more harsh on "career" moms. Her big beef is day care.

Our family has had dad be at home with the kids while I worked more than full-time, I've worked part-time and I've been at home. After all that, for me the best was/is part-time. Still get positive feedback from work and more able to take on stuff at home and appreciate the time and our kids.

Like you both said there are always more than one side to an issue and we shouldn't judge too quickly.

shows some Ameriquest videos that prove the point. Watch at your own discretion.

Another job well done ladies! Keep up the good work!

Mandy,
Many years ago I lost my job and stayed home for four years raising the kids (2 boys) and running the house while going to school for a different career. I am convinced (looking at that experience in hindsight) that it was a good experience. To this day I still cook all the meals, help with the cleaning, grocery shopping, even though I have been working FT for almost 10 yrs now. I think God taught me to never take for granted all the things my wife does.

Mandy mentioned the other station she works at, so at lunch I looked it up and was listening to her....

It was crazy to hear her on that station, which is in S.C.

Mandy you are so much more fun on JQ.

Love ya!

Hey people!
It's Mandy!!
I actually work at 7 other stations across the country in S.C. Georgia, Kansas, Texas and Northern Michigan - A few I have been doing for 3 years and some just a couple of months...it is a radio "secret" so don't let anyone know =)
Ceci and Gary also do voice work for other stations too..it is a great way to supplement the income but it is weird to drive thru Georgia and hear myself =)
And whoever said I am more fun on JQ...thank you! =)

Ceci,
Funny story to share at the Mark Schultz concert... So, now that you have been in the radio biz for many years, is their anyone left out there that you could meet, and you would be thinking... wow, I am talking to (fill in the blank)?

Ceci-
How do you eat all that fattening O'Charley food and still stay so slim. Is it really just pilates?

Ohh Last Anon~
I've been wondering that same thing. Pilates + O'Charley = Cute Ceci! Mandy, I love your layers (hair, that is.)

you girls are so funny! You just made my night:) I actually started watching you and was annoyed...when you were talking about the stay home moms...and the working moms (I stay home) but then I kept listening and you talked about not being able to please everyone all the time!!! SO TRUE! I really struggle with that...we live in a sub. on the north side of Holland...and there are some not so nice...clicky ...snotty WOMAN that really make me feel terrible! I want to people please everyone to the point that if they see me and dont say HI each and every time...I feel awful...it ruins my day and I take it out on all around me. Isnt that terrible!
after 4 years of this...Im to the point now where I dont care as much if they like me and my kids or if they dont...you know why.....because all my caring up to this point hasnt gottenus anywhere either. people pleasing is an awful thing to have and Im jealous of CECI for being able to not care (with limitations as you said) it makes for a much happier life:) not every single person is going to like us! AMEN! and thats OK!
remember it does say in the bible that if you strive to please people you cant also please GOD at the same time! that should help all of the pleasers out there!
keep up the REAL blogs...we love them!!!!!!!!
