IMHO...this is a great blog!

I am 32. I have no problem admitting that. Actually, my age is never more noticable that when I am emailing or blogging, and actually SPELL out words and phrases. There is all this "net-speak", and I have no clue what the appreviations mean! How did I get so left behind? I found an article in Real Simple magazine this month (something 30-somethings read) that de-mystified some of these acronyms for me...

BRB: Be right back
CWYL: Chat with you later
CYT or SYT: See you tomorrow
IMHO: In my humble opinion (this one is my favorite)
LMK: Let me know
NOYB: None of your business

There is also a website that has a dictionary of more than 5000 terms that is updated daily, and if I had kids who were IM'ing, I'd check it out all the time! It's www.netlingo.com

CWYL!

The lingo out there is something else! I am up on most, just from being on IM's or message boards, but I do get thrown for a loop on some!

my middle school daughter got an email from a boy and in it he put lol. I freaked because in my day that meant lots of love. I demanded that she email him and ask what that meant. Imagine my relief when I found out it was laugh out loud.
