More Projects

Remember this old dresser? I couldn't decide whether to stain it, which I did and didn't like, or paint it. Well, I painted it a really cool green, then grey over top, then distressed it ever so slightly. I finally am happy with it. Someday I'll even get that flat screened tv that was supposed to go on top of it!

On a related note, Dave and I just did this exercise with our financial counsellor, where we made a list of all the places and things we spend money on. Then we prioritized the list from most important, to least important. On the very top of my list was "projects", and oddly enough that category made the bottom of Dave's list. We looked at each other and said, "well no wonder there is conflict here!" It was an interesting exercise and one I recommend.

The dresser looks awesome! What a great piece of furniture. I came on here looking for the link for that health person that gives us tips on fridays, sorry I forgot her name. But I would like the link. Thanks!

Hi Ceci,
I was one of the anonymous ones that said keep the woodgrain before but I have to say I absolutely LOVE the piece now. It is really cool. I love the colors you picked. I now want to tackle an old dresser that was given to me and make it black distressed with white as the undercoat. I look forward to seeing your future painting guru tips!
