Grocery Store Woes

I despise going to the grocery store. I know that in some area's of the country and the world, going to the grocery store and being able to purchase everything you need is an absolute treat. I try to keep this in mind, when I venture out to the busy, crowded aisles of the supermarket, but I still find it most unpleasant. I always, and I mean ALWAYS get in the slow checkout lane. The other lanes can have 16 people deep, and I choose the one with one person in line, and without fail those 16 people will be home putting their groceries away before I am checked out!
Last night I was at Sam's Club and had to be at Pilates at 7:30. Normally, the lines at Sam's are a mile deep, but I found one with only one couple ahead of me. It was 7:12, so I had just enough time to get checked out and on my way. And then, it happened. The guy starts swiping his card over and over and freaking out because he "forgot his pin number." Which we all know is code for "I don't have enough cash to cover it." Then he breaks out another card, but it was a credit card which Sam's doesn't accept. The guy claimed he didn't know that policy. So he fumbles in his wallet to see how much cash he was carrying. Not enough, apparently. He tries a new card, but didn't know the pin on that one either. You get the picture. I'm thinking to myself, just make a break for it dude. Leave your stuff, go home, get some cash and come back later.
Another cashier sees me keep looking at my watch and she opens up the lane next to me, and moves all my stuff to her lane. By the time she got it all transfered...you guessed it! The guy found some money and was out of there!
Aarrgh!

Your life sounds like my life sometimes :) I was listening about your "wonderful breakfast" this morning and oh I can sooooo relate! I think I am better off giving the kids a pop tart and calling it good! while I'm at it, for dinner I think it will be hotdogs and popcorn- that would make them happy and so much less work for me! :) LOL I am joking (mostly) :D
