I'm back, I've been busy!

This week I have been too busy to blog! Tomorrow we have a very interested party touring our house for the second time. Now, I've heard that song and dance before..."Your house is on the TOP of their list." So I thought I'd tip the scales in my favor. I took my trusty Ingersol-Rand paint sprayer and painted the oak dining chairs a bright yellow. So bright, in fact, that the actual name of the paint is "Highlighter Yellow" from Benjamin Moore. But the chairs looked awful next to the lime green table, so I had to paint that the off white of the aforementioned (in my first blog) bookcase. I think they look fabulous and it was worth getting up at 6 am every morning this week to get them done in time. Besides accidentally painting my husbands favorite Doc Martin's yellow, things went pretty smoothly. Let's hope the bright additions move the interested party in making an offer. And let's hope I can get the smell of paint thinner out of the house before tomorrow!

Let's connect!

Is that the "buttercup" chair? It is really bright. My hubby would shoot me if I painted over oak chairs. You are a brave woman!

is that overspay on what looks like a nice piece of fabric?! And...at first I thought you might be in your garage until I saw the nice purple walls and I thought "No, couldn't be the garage with those nice walls...." I'll bet it could be though with your talent! I love the yellow chair! You are so creative!

Jodi, my husband would like to shoot me, but I'd shoot him first with the paint gun! Gracie, my husband is not crazy enough to let me paint in the house, yes it is the garage. He was, however, crazy enough to let me use his mexican blanket to catch the overspray. Kelli, gotta love the highlighter yellow! You go girl!

it must have been a week of painting, we having just purchased a new home are in the middle of fixing the little things that always have to be done in a new home. noticing that the fan in the range hood wouldn't work i set out to the home depot place to purchase a new one. ONE!!! what was i thinking??? there are way to many choices for my brain (or budget) to handle. they had this basic white one, you know one speed, one lite setting. but i found the dream one, (if there really is such a thing) three different light levels and fan levels and above all it was Black. I'm on a mission to have all black appliances in my new home. but it was also 280 something dollars, while the cute little white one with 2 fan speeds and one lite level was a mere 35. i tried and tried to talk myself into the cute white one, but the cool black one kept calling my name, "over here over here". in my head i could justify it in all kinds of ways, new home, really wanted one, will move more air, you know how we all do that...how does this connect? by the time i left the store i'd succomed.....
to the little white one and a can of black appliance paint,,,did you know there was such a thing?
so i was out on the back deck saturday night with the range hood spray painting away....it looks just great by the way.
